I adopted my dog Ginger from here. they could not be more amazing. They had her with a foster family who bathed her every day for one week with medicated shampoo because she had flees as she was found abandoned in a house. They are a great adoption place. Ginger had worms and was very tiny she is now so healthy I’m so glad this place helps local dogs find forever families
Paws is a wonderful blessing for our community in Columbus Georgia. We love everything about it. Our family just rescued our second dog from them and this one is already as much of a treasure to our family as our first one was.
When she was younger, I would take my daughter there for what we called "kitty cat therapy." Since she could not have a cat where we lived, we made regular trips to Paws so she could pet, play with, and even read to the cats for about an hour. It was great for her to be around cats and of course, the cats loved the attention... For the most part ☺️.

My dog likes to drag you when you walk him and try to twist you up by going between your legs. Apparently making sure you have grip on the dog is abuse and readjusting the dogs position by making a circle with your leg is abuse. Evidently they also may not even have any proof via camera footage. Because, “it may not even be in frame” claiming he was punching him and kicking him and snatching his leash to cause harm. I’ll tell you the price you pay isn’t worth the services rendered. I would stay away from here if you have any kind of dog that drags you while on the leash don’t want to catch a charge on a false accusation.
Took my dog in to get fixed and other things. When they took him to the back on the way out she kicked him and yelled at him to chill out and get out of her way. I am very upset because I get that he is rambunctious but that’s no reason to abuse my dog. Also, when I originally started taking him I didn’t have the means to get him fixed and care for him at the time so I refused temporarily and they got mad and made it seem like I didn’t care about my dog. The fact of the matter is it isn’t medically necessary, so I was going to wait on procedure until I had the funds to do something extra for him but it felt very judgmental. You know like the Christian people are snobby and stuck up at church. It made me feel uncomfortable, but the distain was clear on all of their faces. The front desk people are a joke, they can’t be so emotionally invested and need customer service training.
I only gave one star because one person was outstanding her name was Jess she helped me with the appointment process. Other than that the rest of them are pitiful.
As a volunteer at Paws Humane, a non-profit, no-kill shelter, I've had the privilege of witnessing the exceptional care and attention lavished upon our four-legged friends. Paws Humane Society sets the gold standard for animal welfare, providing a nurturing and caring environment that goes above and beyond.
The welfare of every animal at Paws Humane takes center stage. Alongside the immaculate living spaces and the attentive staff, each dog enjoys a daily routine that includes three walks outside. It's a testament to the dedication of the staff to ensure the well-being of the animals both physically and mentally stimulated.
While Paws Humane accepts pets that are surrendered by their owner, they also face a challenge that speaks to the heart of animal welfare nationwide—the overwhelming number of pets currently being surrendered. While the shelter admirably accepts surrenders through a schedule, it's a process that demands careful planning due to the sheer volume of pets in need. Despite this challenge and that this may need to be scheduled out a few weeks, the staff tirelessly works at accommodating pet surrenders.
Paws Humane isn't merely a shelter; it's a sanctuary where love, care, and resilience intertwine to create a safe space for our furry companions. I'm honored to be a part of such an organization and wholeheartedly recommend Paws Humane to anyone looking to support or adopt a beloved pet.
Used vet service for our puppies to get fixed and they were so great. Puppies were wide awake and ready to go when we picked them up! No issues and friendly staff.
I am reviewing the new female front desk personnel. My family and I have always owned dogs, and normally 3 or 4 at a time. I arrived with my family to a scheduled appointment for annual shots for our dogs and newest addition. We have had …
I could write an essay about this place and it still wouldn’t do it justice. It has pros and cons but the pros greatly outnumber the cons. The staff here really care about you and your animal and prove it every day. Me and my fiancé adopted …
